Monitoring was undertaken at Inisheer, Co. Galway, between 2 and 15 March 2011 for RPS on behalf of Galway County Council. The proposed development involves the construction of a water treatment plant at the site of the existing pump house (control building). The footprint size of the proposed treatment plant is 5m by 8m. Topsoil was stripped across the whole of the development site. No archaeological deposits or features were identified.
