Archaeological Development Services Ltd were commissioned by the Trustees of the Iveagh Trust to undertake monitoring of the groundworks relating to the upgrading of watermain facilities to the apartment blocks to the east of the alley. The site lies within the designated Zone of Archaeological Potential for Dublin City (DU018-020). Monitoring was carried out in March 2011. No archaeological deposits or artefacts were uncovered during the course of the monitoring.
