Testing was undertaken on the site of the proposed Go-Kart track development at Crislaghkeel, Burnfoot, on 9 June 2011. A total of 240m² of linear test trenches were excavated on the site. Much of the site had been disturbed during the construction of the existing stock-car track, with some infilling being identified in some of the test trenches. Topsoil varied from 0.25m to 1.55m in depth across the site. No features, finds or deposits of archaeological significance were identified during testing. A scan of the topsoil from the trenches produced no finds other than modern ceramics and glass.
