Testing was carried out on a greenfield site at Kildrum, Mitchelstown, in advance of permission for a farm building. Six test trenches were excavated down to the subsoil across the site in April 2011, using a track machine with a flat toothless bucket. Nothing of an archaeological nature was encountered.
