Field inspection of a c. 4km length of the Bandon River was carried out as part of the preliminary studies associated with the Bandon River Flood Relief Scheme. The inspection area extended from Bandon town downstream to Curranure. The inspection identified seventeen sites of interest, the principal being Bandon Bridge (CO110-019009), which is the only known archaeological monument within the area investigated.
