Testing of the N73 Clogher Cross–Waterdyke road realignment scheme for Cork County Council located five sites: Shanagh 1 (166021 109157, undated pits), Shanagh 2 (166207 109266, possible middle Neolithic settlement), Waterdyke 1 (166333 109322, undated pits and post-holes), Waterdyke 2 (166585 109474, undated pits and post-holes) and Waterdyke 3 (Area A, 167382 109507, Area B, 167500 109563, possible charcoal production pit and hearth). Shanagh 1 was fully resolved in testing. The other four sites will be excavated in 2012.
