Monitoring of groundworks and historic building survey were carried out in advance of proposed development at 16 Cochranstown Road, Dundrod, in response to conditions imposed by the NIEA:HMU. A historic building survey was carried out as per planning policy guidelines in advance of the demolition of the existing farm dwelling. While historic in origin, the building had been greatly altered over time, losing much of its original character.
Monitoring of groundworks was necessitated by the developmentās close proximity to rath ANT059-038 but failed to identify any subsurface archaeological remains.
