An archaeological evaluation comprising monitoring of topsoil-stripping was carried out in advance of development. The site was adjacent to Ballyclug Old Graveyard (ANT037-045). A number of archaeological features were identified, and some finds from them were medieval in nature. The features therefore presumably represented activity related to the medieval church.
