As part of the planning process, an archaeological evaluation was requested by the NIEA in relation to a single-dwelling development, to provide further information to inform the planning decision. Six test trenches across the site were proposed by NAC and accepted by the NIEA. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered in any of the test trenches.
