Toom 2 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in wet pasture.
The possible hearth was sub-oval in plan with imperceptible sides, except for a near vertical eastern side and a flat base. The sides and base were heavily scorched due to in situ burning. The feature was heavily truncated at its south side. The hearth was aligned east-north-east/west-south-west and was 0.75m long, 0.56m wide and 0.03m deep. A single fill of loose, dark-orange/brown silty sand with moderate inclusions of charcoal and occasional pebbles was recorded.

A palaeochannel was located east of the hearth at the eastern edge of the site. The channel had measurable extents within the site of 7.25m by 3m and appeared to extend to the south into nearby site Toom 1 (10m to the south, see No. 826, Excavations 2010). The palaeochannel was filled with moderate mid-grey orange-flecked silt with occasional pebbles.

The hearth probably represents remnants of burnt-stone-generating activity, and is probably associated with Toom 1.
