Quarry 1 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was located in the south-east corner of a pasture field, near the base of a slope.

The possible hearth consisted of a circular shallow pit with a diameter of 0.6m and a depth of 0.05–0.07m. The pit was filled with dark-grey/black silty sand with occasional stones and charcoal. The date of this feature is unknown.

The ditch was located west of the pit and was orientated roughly north-west to south-east with a slight curve to the north-east. The ditch had a concave profile and was 0.8m wide and 0.4m deep. The ditch contained a primary fill of soft grey sandy silt with charcoal and a secondary fill of soft yellow/grey silty sand with flecks of charcoal and a small amount of medium-sized stones. The ditch was interpreted as post-medieval in date.
