Myaugh 3 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in pasture.
Two phases of activity were recorded here: two undated pits and modern drains.
The larger pit was subrectangular in plan with concave sides and a flat base. The pit measured 3.7m by 2.2m wide and was 0.2m deep with four fills. The primary fill was firm orange/reddish oxidised clay. The secondary fill was of soft black charcoal-rich deposit with some dark-grey sandy silt residue and occasional gravel. The tertiary fill was soft dark-grey clayey sand with moderate inclusions of medium-sized stones and occasional charcoal. The tertiary fill yielded burnt bone and flint. The upper fill was only located in the centre of the pit and was soft light-brown sandy silt with occasional flecks of charcoal. This pit has been tentatively interpreted as a cremation pyre or charcoal-production pit. Cremations are known from Tinnacross 2 (see No. 825 below, E4229), located south of Myaugh 3.
A smaller pit, 0.9m in diameter and 0.25m deep, was located immediately south of the first. This feature contained irregular large stones (up to 0.3m long) packed together at the base. The stones were interspersed with soft dark-grey clayey sand with occasional charcoal flecks. It is possible that this feature contained a large post held in place with stone lining or packing. This feature has tentatively been interpreted as remnants of a marker post.
Modern drains cut through the south edge of the site.
