Myaugh 1 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in pasture, close to a stream.
This site contained at least two phases of activity: the earlier phase consisted of burnt-stone spreads, one of which overlay two pits (possible troughs), stake-holes and a possible fire-spot, currently undated, and the later phase was represented by two presumably post-medieval agricultural ditches. A palaeochannel was also recorded.
Two pits interpreted as possible troughs extended beyond the south-eastern limits of the site. The smaller pit appeared to have a rounded shape and had measurable extents of 0.6m by 0.45m by 0.12m. This feature was filled with firm black silty clay with frequent charcoal and occasional small burnt stones. The larger pit was located north of the first and also seemed to have a sub-rounded shape and measurable extents of 0.85m by 0.35m 0.25m. This feature was filled with soft dark-brown silty clay with moderate amounts of stones. It is likely that one or both of these pits are troughs associated with burnt-stone-generating activity.
A cluster of stake-holes was located immediately north-west of the pits and presumably formed an associated structure. An area of oxidised clay, measuring 0.3m by 0.2m, was a possible fire-spot.
These features were overlain with a burnt-stone spread consisting of firm black silty clay with frequent burnt stone and charcoal, 9m long, 4.9m wide and 0.25m thick, which extended to the south-east beyond the limits of the site. Another burnt-stone spread comprising a number of mixed deposits was located further south. The second spread measured 7.5m by 6.1m and was 0.05–0.25m thick. This spread was truncated and disturbed by two modern ditches, suggesting that it had been displaced.
A palaeochannel was also recorded. No finds were retrieved from this site.
