Moyne Middle 1 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in a field of grassy pasture. The site comprised a burnt-stone spread and four pits.
A large deposit of burnt-stone material, measuring 6m by 2.1m, consisted of firm black silt which contained a high quantity of heat-shattered stone and flecks of charcoal. A deposit of natural silting sealed the burnt-stone spread. No associated features were revealed beneath the spread.
Four separate pits were recorded on the site of varying shape and size. The largest of these, which measured 3.5m by 1.2m and was 0.88m deep, may have acted as a stone dump.
