Mountgeorge 8 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in pasture.
The pit was circular in plan with gently sloping sides and a flat base and was 1.5m in diameter and 0.22m deep. Two fills were recorded. The primary fill consisted of soft grey/black silty sand with occasional heat-affected stone and charcoal. The upper fill consisted of compact, light-grey, sandy silt with occasional stones, pebbles and charcoal. The function of this pit is unknown.
