Mountgeorge 2 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in pasture, close to a stream.
A winding relict stream, 1.5–5m wide and 0.3–0.6m deep, with a roughly concave profile, cut through the centre of the site. The stream was filled with burnt-stone deposits, silts and redeposited natural. The stream was, in turn, cut by a post-medieval drain. Three small burnt-stone spreads (each approximately 1m in diameter and 0.03–0.04m deep) consisting of a single deposit each were also recorded. It is possible that these features represent disturbed remnants of fulacht fiadh-type activity. Similar activity was recorded in nearby sites, Mountgeorge 1 (see No. 782 above), 3, 4 and 5 (see Nos 794–5 below).
