Medophall 2 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site consisted of a burnt mound with no associated features and a modern ditch.
A subcircular deposit of burnt-stone material, measuring 6.6m by 5.2m and 0.45m deep, consisted of dark-grey/black silty clay containing charcoal and heat-affected stones. The burnt-mound material was truncated by a modern ditch. This ditch, which continued beyond the limit of excavation, was 3.5m long within the site, was 1.5m wide and 0.45m deep, containing mottled grey silt mixed with orange clay.
