Frankfort 5 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was located in undulating grassland pasture recently cut for silage. The field is on the apex of a hill and slopes down to the south-east and north-east.

The excavation at Frankfort 5 revealed a pit, a furrow segment, three post-holes and two stake-holes, which formed no discernible pattern. The subcircular-shaped shallow pit measured 1.15m by 1m and had a maximum depth of 0.07m. The pit contained a single charcoal-rich fill and may have served as a possible refuse pit. A linear ditch or furrow segment with a north-west to south-east orientation measured 4.7m by 0.9m and was 0.12m deep.
