Frankfort 2 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was identified in a rectangular field recently cut for silage which sloped down from the south-west to the north-east.
Excavations at Frankfort 2 revealed a modern linear ditch or field drain which was found close to the eastern edge of the site and orientated north to south. The ditch was 15.5m long within the site, approximately 1.5m wide and 0.35m deep, with a single fill. The fill was loose mid-brown sandy silt which contained frequent large stones. Modern pottery was recovered from this feature.
During excavation, all other potential features were revealed to be the result of tree-root activity.
Three pieces of possible struck flint were recovered from the topsoil.
