Excavations at Creakan Upper 1 were undertaken on behalf of Wexford County Council as part of the Stage (iii) archaeological services contract prior to the commencement of construction of the N25 New Ross bypass road scheme.
Excavation revealed a modern linear feature which extended in a north-east/south-west direction across the length of the site. It had an approximate visible length of 23m, a width of 1.34m and a depth of 0.49m. Its fill contained very occasional inclusions of plastic.
