Coolnahorna 2 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site was situated in a pasture field.
A single shallow deposit of loose blackish/grey to orange/brown silty clay containing frequent charcoal flecks was excavated. The long axis of this deposit was aligned north-west to south-east. This irregularly shaped deposit measured 1.26m by 0.82m and was 0.09m deep. As there was no evidence of in situ burning associated with this feature, it is possible that the deposit represented displaced debris associated with a hearth or burning activity. No finds or samples were retrieved from this site and no further features of archaeological significance were recorded.
