Ballygullen 3 was located on the proposed M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy scheme. The site comprised four modern ditches, four furrows, three slot-trenches, one hearth, two cremation burials, two deposits, 35 pits, 130 stake-holes and 56 post-holes, none of which formed any obvious pattern on-site. The 95 finds recovered from the site were nine pieces of flint, two stone objects and 84 fragments of prehistoric pottery.
The site appeared to represent a temporary area of occupation in the prehistoric period, with the majority of activity centred around a cluster of pits, post-holes and stake-holes.
