Testing was undertaken in advance of the N5 Ballaghaderreen bypass, Co. Roscommon. The work was undertaken on behalf of Roscommon County Council and took place between 26 July and 16 August 2010. A total of 6665 linear metres were excavated within the six areas to be tested (Areas 8–13). No archaeological features or deposits were identified in the test-trenches excavated.
