An assessment was undertaken at Barnalyra, forming part of Barnalyra quarry, Charlestown, Co. Mayo. The works were undertaken in advance of a proposed extension to the existing quarry. A total of eighteen test-trenches were excavated. These had a combined length of approximately 730m. No archaeological sites or features were observed within this site in the course of this assessment.
