Monitoring of groundworks associated with the construction of a wind farm at Dromdeeveen, Broadford, Co. Limerick, was carried out over a number of weeks in February, September and November 2010. Monitoring of peat and topsoil removal associated with the construction of spur roads, turbine bases and associated hardstanding areas was undertaken, and the excavation of geotechnical trial-pits was also monitored. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during monitoring.
