Monitoring was undertaken from August 2008 until July 2010 at a development which involves the construction of two wind farms in County Roscommon and County Leitrim. The County Leitrim site, known as Garvagh Glebe, was split into a northern and southern section. The proposals included the construction of seven turbines in the northern section and six in the southern section. Eleven turbines are to be constructed at the Tullynahaw site in County Roscommon. Both sites also required the construction of access roads and substations. The wind farm sites are located along a ridge which straddles County Leitrim to the north and County Roscommon to the south and which forms Corrie Mountain. Monitoring was undertaken during the excavations but no archaeological deposits were encountered at either Tullynahaw or Garvagh Glebe and the groundworks have now been completed.
