Testing was undertaken at a site in Dromore, Co. Leitrim, in order to provide further information for the route selection process of the proposed N4 Carrick-on-Shannon to Dromod road project. The work was undertaken on behalf of Leitrim County Council and it took place on the 12 August 2010.
Testing was carried out in a greenfield area of archaeological potential located adjacent to a ringfort (LE031–015). One isolated possible pit feature of unknown date was identified in the test-trenches excavated within the test area.
