Testing of the proposed site of the Lee Valley Park was requested as part of the Part VIII planning process, on the basis of scale. No previously recorded monuments were located within or adjacent to the site. The stratigraphy comprised estuarine silts with intermittent peat layers up to 14m in depth. No archaeological features or strata were recorded.
