Test-trenching took place in advance of a proposed single-house development. The site is located within and immediately outside of the walled garden of Northampton House, previously known as Northampton Lodge (GA113–0173). A hand-excavated trench was located at the garden entrance. No archaeological features or artifacts were found other than a gravel layer that was probably associated with the driveway to the house.
