Testing was carried out in advance of the construction of two angling ponds with ancillary tanks and associated works at Cregg and Canrawer West, Oughterard. The proposed development site is located immediately north and north-east of a workhouse graveyard (GA054–008). Six trenches were opened on the footprint of the proposed development. Nothing of an archaeological nature was uncovered during the test-trenching.
