Test excavations took place on 15 February on the site of a proposed house in Ballynacloghy, Maree, Co. Galway. The site of a ringfort, GA094–013, was located across the road from the proposed house site. Trenches were excavated on the site of the proposed house, septic tank, driveway, garage and percolation areas. Finds were limited to two modern pottery fragments and one clay-pipe fragment. Nothing of archaeological significance was found.
