Two trenches (each measuring 18m in length by 2m in width) were mechanically excavated at this site in advance of development. The proposed development is in the vicinity of a probable medieval church and graveyard. The two trenches were excavated to the surface of the natural subsoil, with nothing of archaeological significance being noted in any of the trenches.
