A programme of monitoring was carried out over a two-week period in October 2010 at the site of a proposed car park at the rear of the Marley Nursing Home, Jamestown Road, Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin. The site was located within the constraint zone of St Sabh’s Well, DU022–033. The area monitored measured 11m east–west by 74m. Prior to the monitoring the site was covered by an immature forestry plantation. A possible prehistoric cremation pit and the remains of a post-medieval structure with associated drains was identified and excavated during the course of the monitoring.
