Three trenches (each measuring 20m in length by 2m in width) were mechanically excavated at this site in advance of development. The proposed development is in the vicinity of a probable enclosure, identified by aerial photography. The three trenches were excavated to the surface of the natural subsoil, with nothing of archaeological significance being noted in any of the trenches.
