Three trenches (each measuring 20m in length by 2m in width) were mechanically excavated at this site in advance of a proposed development. The site lies close to the location of a standing stone. Nothing of archaeological significance was observed in any of the trenches, apart from evidence of post-medieval agricultural processes (spade cultivation furrows).
