2010:190 - RAHEANY WEST/LAGHY, Donegal

A programme of monitoring was carried out along the route of the Laghy sewerage scheme, which was located within the townlands of Raheaney West and Laghy, Co. Donegal. The excavation of the pipeline trenches within greenfield adjacent to the River Laghy was subject to continual monitoring, whilst the excavation of pipeline trenches confined to the existing roadway within the vicinity of the river were subject to intermittent monitoring. Work took place during October 2009 and January and March 2010. No features, deposits or artifacts of archaeological significance were identified during the course of monitoring.
