This ruined fragmentary building, at Mogeely Lower, Conna, was the parish church of Mogeely, according to Lewis (1837). In 1934 it was in ruins. The ivy-clad church is a single-cell structure built primarily of uncoursed limestone, with some sandstone (Cotter, 2000). Many chest tomb inscriptions date to 1701 and 1704. Consolidation of the west gable and south wall was undertaken by the craftsmen of the Historic Monument’s Advisory Committee of Cork County Council. No ground disturbance took place.
