Pre-development test excavations were undertaken as part of an impact assessment for a proposed single-house development at Coolbaun, Lisleecourt, Co. Cork. The site of a country house (CO136–066) is located on the proposed development site. Extensive test-trenching on the footprint of the proposed development revealed no evidence of a castle or country house.
