An evaluation of lands at Doran’s Hill, Newry, Co. Armagh, was carried out in advance of construction in response to a request for more information from NIEA:HMU. The evaluation was carried out over a period of five days with approximately 2000 linear metres of trenching being carried out. While the desk-based assessment indicated that the proposed development was located within an area of archaeological potential, the onsite evaluation failed to identify substantial archaeological remains within the evaluation trenches.
