Monitoring of the topsoil-strip revealed a large curvilinear ditch, a souterrain and a series of pits and miscellaneous linear and curvilinear features, as well as several sherds of souterrain ware. The decision was taken to preserve the material in situ; the souterrain was filled with fine gravel to prevent its collapse and the site was covered in a geotextile and then recovered.
