The proposed development is situated on the western outskirts of Lisburn and will result in the erection of 359 terraced, detached and semi-detached dwellings with associated infrastructure and areas of landscaping. There will be a new access road from the Knockmore Road, which will include two road bridges over an existing east to west running sheugh. Phase 3 investigations took place on 3 and 4 March 2010.

During Phases 1 and 2 of ground-works archaeological remains were uncovered, revealing evidence of a Neolithic house, two possible penannular Bronze Age ring-ditches as well as a fulacht fiadh and numerous pits and post-holes.

Phase 3 of this site involved the topsoil-stripping of three small areas totalling approximately 680m². Topsoil-stripping of a small strip measuring 3m by 10m along the east boundary as well as a 10m by 25m and a 20m by 20m area for a compound and storage (towards the north of the site) were monitored. There were no archaeological deposits uncovered. This completes the ground-works associated with Phase 3 of the proposed development.
