Monitoring of ground-reduction works was carried out at the site of proposed redevelopment at the Transport Training Board, Nutts Corner, Co. Antrim. Development-led monitoring was carried out in two phases between 7 May and 5 October 2010. Phase 1 monitoring works, primarily concentrated within the footprint of the proposed new building and associated services and access road, did not identify any archaeological remains. Phase 2 monitoring was concentrated on ground-reduction works associated with the installation of a new car park area located to the side of the existing facility buildings. Phase 2 monitoring identified archaeological remains associated with ANT059–018, in the form of the partial remains of a large enclosure ditch and associated pits/post-holes. Pottery recovered from the fill of the ditch confirmed the enclosure to be of an Early Christian date.
