Wicklow County Council required that an archaeological report be prepared as further information to inform a planning application for a single-house development at Kilpoole Farm. The development area was situated close to the site of a medieval monastery that has traditionally been associated with the Knights Templar. Test-trenches were excavated across the development area but nothing of archaeological interest was noted.
