Additional monitoring followed by excavation was carried out adjacent to the site of a possible Bronze Age structure that was excavated in 2008 by Helen Kavanagh and Rob Lynch (Excavations 2008, No. 1318). A number of pits and possible post-holes were identified in an area to the immediate south of the structure (c. 40m north–south by c. 30m), although few artefacts were recovered from these features. It is possible that they are prehistoric in date and may be contemporary with the structure. Several smaller pits were identified in the western most part of the development area, over 35m to the south-west of the Bronze Age structure. A linear ditch aligned east–west, which may represent a prehistoric boundary, was identified close to the southern extent of the excavation area.
