Due to the location of Camaderry Cottage, within the constraint zone for the monastic city at Glendalough, works associated with the construction of a ha-ha were conducted under archaeological supervision, on 16 August 2009. A trench, measuring 100m in length and 2m in width, was excavated for this purpose. Nothing of archaeological significance was exposed in this trench.
