Wexford County Council requested an archaeological impact assessment to include testing as a condition of planning for a single-house development at Assagart, Horetown. The site was located 50m from the area of constraint for WX036–068, a cropmark enclosure identified by aerial photography and c. 100m from a second cropmark enclosure (WX036–069), which was similarly identified. A further eight archaeological sites are located within
c. 1km of the development area. Testing was undertaken within the footprint of the development. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted.
