Testing at this proposed cr’che development did not uncover any features of archaeological significance on the site. Evidence of settlement identified in the field north of the site during earlier test-trenching did not extend to the site. Three fields drains crossed Trench 1 and a wide drain or hollow at the south end of the site was uncovered in Trenches 1 and 3 running north-east/south-west across the site. This feature is also visible in the field to the east. The drains are likely to be post-medieval but no artefacts were uncovered during excavations.
