Testing was undertaken on the perimeter of the grounds of Cashel Community School, Duala Road, Cashel. The school had obtained planning permission to erect a palisade fence around the perimeter of its property. The school grounds are just to the east of the zone of archaeological potential for Cashel town. Six test-trenches were opened along the line of the proposed fence, none of which revealed any archaeological deposits or features.
