A total of six test-trenches were opened on the imprint of a single-house site and associated ground-disturbance works at Ballinure, Thurles. The site is within the constraint area of a monument classified as a settlement. Other than evidence for recent cultivation and the uncovering of a modern drain, nothing of archaeological note was uncovered in the course of testing works.
