Moore Marine was commissioned by Headland Archaeology (Ireland) Ltd to carry out an underwater impact assessment of the construction of the N5 Ballaghaderreen bypass road across a watercourse at Teevnacreeva, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon. The survey comprised a visual inspection of the surrounding area. The work was carried out in October 2009.
The assessment could not reach a conclusion on the presence of archaeological material at the subject site as it was overgrown and impenetrable to the surveying archaeologist. There were no RMP sites in the vicinity of the crossing and no previously unrecorded archaeological material was noted during the site walkover.
